About Our Scholarships

All students who audition for the School of Music are automatically considered for music merit scholarships.

The School of Music annually provides over $400,000 in scholarship assistance to talented music majors. Scholarships are awarded at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate scholarships range from small awards to full tuition. Graduate assistantships are awarded to qualified students.

Qualifications

  1. Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students while receiving a scholarship.
  2. Most scholarships require full-time status (12 units per semester for undergraduates; 4 units per semester for graduate students).
  3. Scholarship recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above each semester in order to retain the scholarship.
  4. Applicants must demonstrate potential for outstanding musical ability and high academic achievement.
